BART Operates Regular Sunday Service for Labor Day Holiday; Wheels Shuttle Bus to the 138th Annual Scottish Gathering & Games.

OAKLAND, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 26, 2003

This Monday (September 1) Labor Day Labor Day, holiday celebrated in the United States and Canada on the first Monday in September to honor the laborer. It was inaugurated by the Knights of Labor in 1882 and made a national holiday by the U.S. Congress in 1894.  holiday, BART will be operating on a regular Sunday Sunday: see Sabbath; week.  schedule. Trains will operate at 20-minute intervals on three lines -- Richmond/Fremont, Pittsburg/Bay Point-Millbrae and Dublin/Pleasanton-SFO, beginning at 8 a.m. BART Administrative offices will be closed.
