BART Operates Regular Sunday Service for July 4 and July 5; ''Its Red, White and Blue All Over the Bay Area!''.


OAKLAND Oakland, city (1990 pop. 372,242), seat of Alameda co., W Calif., on the eastern side of San Francisco Bay; inc. 1852. Trains will operate at 20-minute intervals on three lines: Richmond/Fremont, Pittsburg/Bay Point-SFO and Dublin/Pleasanton-Daly City, beginning at 8 a.m.

 Sunday schedule beginning at 4 a.m. Trains will operate at 20-minute intervals on the Richmond/Fremont, Pittsburg/Bay Point-SFO and Dublin/Pleasanton-Daly City lines.

BART Administration Offices will be closed.

Weekend Activities:
--  Saturday, July 3 -- Warped Tour at Piers 30-32. Pier 30-32 is
        located on the Embarcadero at Brannon, just north of PacBell
        Park, a short walk from the Embarcadero BART Station.
        Passengers may also go up one level to MUNI and take the
        N-Judah line to the Embarcadero/Brannon stop, which is
        directly in front of Pier 30-32.

    --  Sunday, July 4 -- Pier 39 will celebrate Independence Day
        with a fireworks extravaganza over the bay scheduled for
        approximately 9:30 p.m. Passengers can take BART to the
        Embarcadero BART Station, go up one level to MUNI and take the
        F-line to Pier 39.

        Paramount's Great America in Santa Clara will provide
        fireworks and can be reached by taking BART to the Fremont
        BART Station and transferring to the Santa Clara Transit
        Express 141 to the entrance of Great America. Buses leave the
        Fremont BART Station every 40 minutes. Buses are wheelchair
        accessible. The one-way bus fare is $3.00.

    --  "Wheels" routes 7 and 8 will provide direct service to the
        Alameda County Fair, providing 30-minute service during peak
        hours (6:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.-7 p.m.) and hourly
        service during off-peak hours between the fairgrounds and the
        Dublin/Pleasanton BART station on weekdays, and every
        30 minutes on Saturday and Sundays. Buses are wheelchair
        accessible. The one-way fare is $1.25.
