The city manufactures machinery, computer and electronic parts, steel products, air pollution equipment, ophthalmic lenses, tools, Street in North Berkeley. The Ohlone Greenway Project has involved the creation of the community garden and recently completed works of art along the BART right-of-way, including a colorful 73 foot mural mural Painting applied to and made integral with the surface of a wall or ceiling. Its roots can be found in the universal desire that led prehistoric peoples to create cave paintings—the desire to decorate their surroundings and express their ideas and beliefs. by local artists depicting the cultural history and the evolution of transportation in the area. The public art was funded by BART in partnership with the City of Berkeley.

What: Dedication of public art project

Where: Event begins with a gathering of BART and Berkeley
officials, and members of the community at the Community
Garden on Peralta near Watkins. Following a tour of the
Garden, guests will move to the ceremonial site at the
Mural, a short walk down the greenway from the garden.
Speakers: BART Director Carole Ward Allen, Berkeley Mayor Shirley
Dean, and Landscape Architect Karl Linn, who spearheaded
the project.
