OAKLAND, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 20, 2004

BART Board President James Fang has announced a Special Meeting of the Board of Directors on Thursday, April 22, 2004, immediately following meetings of the Engineering and Operations Committee, the Administration Committee, and the regular Board Meeting. The Special Board Meeting will be held in Room 508, Fifth Floor Conference Room, 800 Madison Street, Oakland, California.

The purpose of the Special Board Meeting is to consider and take such action as the Board may desire in connection with:

    AGENDA

    1. CLOSED SESSION

        A. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - Anticipated Litigation.
           Initiation of litigation pursuant to subdivision (c) of
           Government Code Section 54956.9: one potential case.

           Significant exposure to litigation pursuant to subdivision
           (b) of Government Code Section 54956.9: one potential
           case.
