BARRY GREENE RETIRING AS CHRIS-CRAFT GENERAL COUNSEL; BRIAN KELLY ELECTED SUCCESSOR

 NEW YORK, N.Y., Nov. 19 ~PRNewswire~ -- Chris Craft Industries Inc. (NYSE: CCN) announced that Barry S. Greene, senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of Chris-Craft and of BHC Communications, Inc., Chris Craft's majority-owned television broadcasting subsidiary, well retire to spend more time with his family and to pursue personal interests. Herbert J. Siegel, chairman and president of Chris-Craft, said Mr. Greene, 46, will remain an officer until Dec. 31, 1992, and will thereafter serve as a consultant to Chris-Craft; he will also remain a member of the board of directors of BHC.
 Mr. Greene said, "My 15 years at Chris-Craft have been extremely rewarding and I value enormously my relationship with Herb Siegel and the wonderful friendships I have made, but I have decided to reallocate my time to better satisfy the priorities in my life."
 Mr. Siegel said, "As a key member of Chris-Craft's senior management for many years Barry Greene has made enormous contributions to our success. We will surely miss him, but we understand and respect his decision, and are delighted we will still have his counsel as a consultant and member of BHC's board."
 Mr. Siegel announced that Chris-Craft has elected Brian C. Kelly, 41, to succeed Mr. Greene as general counsel and secretary of Chris- Craft and BHC. Mr. Kelly has been executive vice president and general counsel of Finevest Foods, Inc., and formerly served as vice president, general counsel and secretary of W.R. Berkley Corporation. Mr. Kelly is a graduate of Yale University and Columbia University Law School.
