BARGAINS : SAVINGS AND SERVICE ARE YOURS IN OXNARD.

Byline: Trisha King & Deborah Newmark

Manufacturers' outlet centers seem to be getting larger and larger. In fact, there are a few centers that have over 200 stores! That's a lot of walking and shopping. If you don't have the time or the energy for an entire day of outlet shopping, you might want to visit Oxnard Factory Outlet.

There are plenty of bargains suitable for just about anyone in the center's 35 stores. For example, Carter's had pajamas pajamas

If you've had occasion to shop in other manufacturers' outlet centers, you are in for a pleasant surprise at Oxnard Factory Outlet Genuine customer service. We were taken aback by the friendly and helpful - but not pushy push·y

As usual, we spent our time ferreting out the deeper discounts offered by the outlets. Casual Corner had women's silk blouses for $12 ($48 retail) and Designer Labels for Less had $84 Bila dresses for $14, as well as short- and long-sleeved velour tops for $8 ($30 to $50 retail).

Customers will find a few uncommon stores such as Outlet Furnishings for computer and entertainment center furniture (a desk and hutch hutch
