BARCO and Advanced Media Design Team For Videoconferencing Demonstration.DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 11, 1998-- 67" screen image is projected onto media wall using BARCO projector BARCO, a leading manufacturer of video and graphics display technology, along with Advanced Media Design, will be demonstrating live videoconferencing A real time video session between two or more users or between two or more locations. Although the first videoconferencing was done with traditional analog TV and satellites, inhouse room systems became popular in the early 1980s after Compression Labs pioneered digitized video systems with the Media Presentation System (MPS) during INFOCOMM at BARCO booth 1311. The demonstration will feature a live link from the show floor to the Calabasas, Calif. headquarters of Advanced Media Design. The system, designed by Advanced Media Design, was developed specifically for multimedia business applications such as videoconferencing, presentations, command/control and training. The MPS integrates with all forms of business media - printed documents, computer input, 35mm slides and video. Sources can be viewed, annotated, teleconferenced, recorded and printed individually or simultaneously in multiple windows.
