 training and certification program focused exclusively on rental agency operations. It is of particular relevance to professionals who would like to understand all key elements of the rental business.

The Rental School is one of the four advanced schools - Installation, Design, Rental and Sales - offered by the ICIA Academy. Part one of the Rental School is a `basic training' giving both new employees and audio-video professionals (with up to 5 years experience but lacking formal training) all the skills needed to access, understand, and meet client requirements for audio/visual equipment and services. The course looks at the basics of the A/V (1) (Audio/Video) Refers to equipment and applications that deal with sound and sight. The A/V world includes microphones, tape recorders, audio mixers, still and video cameras, film projectors, slide projectors, VCRs, CD and DVD players/recorders, amplifiers and  rental industry, the visual media and audio, visual and projection technology.

With an emphasis on advanced technologies and their integration, part two of the course focuses on handling sophisticated staging for large-scale events. Recommended for rental professionals seeking the next level of training, it offers more advanced information in audio, video and data display, multimedia, lighting and staging, planning and logistics.

Parts one and two of the Rental School will be revised to provide an online course in Rental Operations and a hands-on course in Advanced Rental Operations.
