 BANKERS TRUST ANNOUNCES SENIOR CHANGES
 NEW YORK, Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Eugene B. Shanks, Jr. has been


elected president and Edward A. Lesser and George J. Vojta vice chairmen of Bankers Trust Company and its parent, Bankers Trust New York Corporation (NYSE: BT). Shanks and Vojta have also been elected to the board of directors of the two organizations, on which Lesser already serves. The actions were taken at today's meeting of the board and are effective immediately.
 Shanks, Lesser and Vojta will continue to serve on the bank's Management Committee and each will report to Bankers Trust Chairman Charles S. Sanford, Jr.
 Ralph L. MacDonald, Jr., who has been a co-head of Global Corporate Finance, has resigned effective March 31, 1992.
 "Ralph MacDonald has wanted to undertake a career change that would allow him more time for personal interests," Sanford. "We are grateful for his valuable contributions to the firm. We will miss him very much."
 Shanks, 44, will continue to have responsibility for Bankers Trust's Global Markets business, which includes Capital Markets, Trading, Finance, Funding and Bankers Trust Australia Limited.
 Vojta, 56, who has been a co-head of Global Corporate Finance, will head Global Merchant Banking, which includes Mergers and Acquisitions, Client Coverage, Europe Merchant Banking, Asia Merchant Banking, Latin America Merchant Banking, Secured Finance, Real Estate Finance, Financial Intermediaries and Private Equity.
 In addition to managing the bank's PROFITCo businesses, Lesser, 58, will have senior responsibility for the Portfolio Group, headed by Bruce Classon.
