Bank Trade & Commerce Branch on 10th Street West sponsored the event to help seniors with health and other issues.

``We wanted to do something for all our seniors out there who need a little help in making choices and decisions that ultimately affect their lives,'' said Jeanne Wells, coordinator of the expo.

Wells, a former music teacher in the public school system, now devotes her time mostly to seniors as a consultant at the bank.

``Seniors are a joy to work with,'' she said, ``and we wanted to make sure we're doing all we can to make their lives easier and healthier, so for this one day, we put together some displays of services available to them.

``Representatives from each were ready and willing to answer questions.''

Included among those providing information on the free services (O.Eng. Law) such feudal services as were not unbecoming the character of a soldier or a freemen to perform; as, to serve under his lord in war, to pay a sum of money, etc.

``What a nice thing to do. They're all so friendly. If they do it next year, I'll try to go again,'' she said.

Wells was enthusiastic about the day. ``There are a few things we'll do a little differently next time but, overall, I think it was a success and I'm pleased.''

Menus at the senior life nutrition sites in Lancaster and Palmdale include bread, margarine and coffee, tea or milk, for the suggested donation of $2.
