BANGG and SMC Giving Computer Users Another Way to Party.


IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 1, 1999--SMC Networks Inc., Thursday announced its sponsorship of Bay Area Network Gaming Group's (BANGG BANGG Bay Area Network Gaming Group ) Annual Networked Gaming Marathon.

This year, with over 200 registered attendees, BANGG challenges computer game enthusiasts to battle for hi-tech prizes in a party setting. Complete with an MC, broadcast music, big screen TVs, Sony Play Stations, and other entertainment, players have a chance to battle it out for great prizes and free giveaways.

One of the largest social events of its kind, BANGG, a non-profit San Francisco-based organization promotes the blending of the Internet with multi-user action play in a party local area network setting. This event provides a fun, relaxing setting for people to meet, laugh, and bout for hi-tech prizes through the interactive play of popular computer action games (Quake II Quake II, released on December 6 1997, is a first person shooter computer game developed by id Software and distributed by Activision.
