ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION OF SCHIST LAKE PROPERTY.TORONTO, ONTARIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 4, 1995--Band-Ore Resources Ltd. is pleased to announce the acquisition of the "Schist schist (shĭst), metamorphic rock having a foliated, or plated, structure called schistosity in which the component flaky minerals are visible to the naked eye. Lake" property. This 1 claim (12 unit) property is located in Yeo Township, approximately 70 miles to the southwest of Timmins, Ontario and encompasses the Cryderman gold occurrence. The gold showing is hosted within a highly mineralized deformed zone of sulphide carbonate sericite schist. The mineralized zone has been traced for a minimum strike length of 450 feet, is open to the east and west, and is reported to be more than 10 feet wide in pits on the eastern and western portions of the zone. A 1932 government report has stated that samples from the east and west pits assayed 0.18 ounces gold per ton. A 1994 government report indicates the mineralization occurs in a number of lenses hosted within a braided shear zone with disseminated to massive sulphide mineralization within highly deformed sediments and porphyry. Recent samples by government geologists in the vicinity of the occurrence assayed as high as 0.30 ounces gold per ton. No drilling has ever been done on the occurrence or along strike to the east and west.
