The field show will start at 1 p.m. at Antelope Valley High School's Mays Field, on Division Street north of Lancaster Boulevard. Admission is $5 at the gate. The bands will be evaluated by judges from the Southern California Band and Orchestra Association and separate awards for the parade and the field show will be presented, Hood said. The Antelope Valley Brigade, composed of about 140 students, has been practicing at least six hours a week in preparation for the parade and tournament, Hood said. Local businesses are being invited to sponsor trophies for the festival and ads in the program are now available starting at $25, he said.
