He is well respected within the community and brings experience and energy to this new position. David Blackford, who is currently executive vice president for Western Region Real Estate as well as manager of the Arizona Corporate - Commercial portfolio, will assume new responsibilities and become general manager - Real Estate in both the Western and Southern Regions. He will remain headquartered in Phoenix. Both Welborn and Blackford will report to Ronald G. Steinhart, chairman and CEO of Banc One's Southern Region. To facilitate this new reporting relationship, it was announced that Steinhart has been elected to the Banc One Arizona Corp. board.
