BANAMEX-ACCIVAL FINANCIAL GROUP REPORTS FIRST QUARTER 1993 RESULTS

 MEXICO CITY, April 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Grupo Financiero Banamex- Accival ("BANACCI") today repegistered during the first quarter of 1992.
 Net results for the first three months of 1993 imply earnings per share of N$0.58, compared to N$0.47 in the first quarter of 1992.
 Banco Nacional de Mexico ("BANAMEX"), the group's largest subsidiary, contributed with a first quarter net income of New Pesos 570 million, which is 14 percent higher than the New Pesos 502 million recorded over the same period in 1992. In addition, undistributed income from BANAMEX subsidiaries from January to March 1993 amounted to New Pesos 48 million.
 At the end of the first quarter of 1993, BANAMEX's total net loan portfolio reached New Pesos 78,003 million, an increase of 29 percent over the corresponding quarter of 1992. The bank's stockholders' equity grew 36 percent during the period, amounting to New Pesos 8,715 million at the end of 1993's first quarter.
 Acciones y Valores de Mexico, the group's brokerage house, reported net income of New Pesos 41 million for the first quarter of 1993. The rest of BANACCI's results include New Pesos 16 million corresponding to the group's own operations and New Pesos 183 million of revaluation surplus from the assets of the group's subsidiaries.
