Beatty's ambition of becoming a global player has taken a step forward with a pounds 380million takeover of a US project management firm. They hope the Parsons Brinckerhoff deal will help them crack the American market. Balfour say Parsons' design, financing and project management skills will allow them to offer customers "integrated project services". Chief executive Ian Tyler said: "This makes us one of the world's major players in professional services (job) professional services - A department of a supplier providing consultancy and programming manpower for the supplier's products. and puts us in an excellent position to take advantage of increased infrastructure spending." Parsons have 2000 staff based in the UK, including an office in Glasgow. |
