Here are some exercises to help with balance. First, learn to hit the ball standing on one foot. When doing this, place the other leg in the air with your knees touching. Now, with a very easy swing, rotate your hips and shoulders, and hit the ball between 10 and 15 yards. Switch legs after a few shots. Remember, these are not big swings, just strictly fundamental training techniques.

Next, take your normal stance. Hit some balls about 50 yards with a wedge. Concentrate on following through and finish with balance, shifting weight to your front foot. If you do this properly, you should be able to lift your back foot in the air after each swing.
