 Bakersfield Blaze The Bakersfield Blaze are a minor league baseball team in Bakersfield, California, USA. They are a "high-A" class team in the California League, and are a farm team of the Texas Rangers. The Bakersfield Blaze play home games at Sam Lynn Ballpark.  franchise celebrated being taken over by a new ownership group, heralding Friday night's game against the JetHawks in front of 1,769 at Sam Lynn Ballpark Sam Lynn Ball Park is located in Bakersfield, California (4009 Chester Ave. Bakersfield, CA 93301 / 661-716-HITS) and is the oldest ballpark of the 10 team, Class-A Advanced, California League.  as ``Opening Day II, a new beginning.''

Some of the players known to be leaving made an impact Friday, helping the JetHawks go into the 10 inning locked in a 2-2 tie with Bakersfield.

Jackson (El Camino Real High of Woodland Hills) had two hits in his first four at-bats to extend his hitting streak to 17 games, the longest by a JetHawks player this season.

He doubled to left with two outs in the fourth - the first of three consecutive JetHawks hits in a two-run inning - and scored on a collision at home plate.
