BAILLIE BROTHERS QUIT ABBEY VILLA; Baillies call it a day at Abbey Villa.

ABBEY Villa were last night thrown into turmoil as joint managers Graham and Mark Baillie sensationally sen·sa·tion·al

The sudden development follows the Millisle side's dramatic 2-2 draw with local rivals Ards Rangers Rapidly deployable airborne light infantry organized and trained to conduct highly complex joint direct action operations in coordination with or in support of other special operations units of all Services.  in the Premier Section at the weekend.

Club officials last night called a meeting with the Baillie brothers and other parties to discuss an alleged incident that may have led to the management duo's decision.

As Match on Tuesday went to press, Villa secretary Conrad Kirkwood confirmed that the club were rejecting the offer of resignation to give the matter further consideration.

Speaking before the meeting yesterday evening, he revealed: "At present we are not clear what has happened .

"There are some matters that will need to be looked at, and we are investigating these matters internally.

"I want to make sure our club makes the right decision based on the facts presented before them."

Since the Baillies took over Villa in the summer of 2007, the club have enjoyed the most successful period in their history, during which they reached the last 16 of the Irish Cup The Irish Cup is the national cup knock-out competition in Northern Irish football. Inaugurated in 1881, it is the fourth oldest national cup competition in the world. Prior to the break-away from the Irish Football Association by clubs from what would become the Irish Free State , won the Border Cup, and were promoted to the Premier Section for the first ever time.

And to top it all off, the management duo received the inaugural Umbro Junior Team of the Year Award, on behalf of the club, from Man United and England legend Bryan Robson
