BAE Systems. (News).

BAE Systems' Hidas helicopter self protection suite has been selected by Kuwait. The system (see Armada International 3/2002) will be fitted on the Longbow Apaches which Kuwait ordered from Boeing through a Foreign Military Sales contract. Including training and support, the contract also covers the integration of the Hidas suite into an Apache Longbow crew trainer to be delivered to the Kuwait Air Force. The Hidas configuration selected by Kuwait is the same as the one specified by the British Army for its own Apache Longbows, which are soon to enter service.
