BAE Systems received a contract from the British Defence Procurement Agency for the lease of three newly designed transportable satellite communications terminals. The new system, the Talon, incorporates a range of commercial off-the-shelf components and features satellite tracking and use of both defence and civil frequency bands. The contract is to be fulfilled by the Communications & Defence Infrastructure team of BAE Systems in Chirstchurch, Dorset.
