BAE Systems installed its first two Lrod rocket-propelled grenade protection kits onto US Army RG31 and RG31A1 mine-protected vehicles. The lightweight, modular bar-armour-type system is of an aluminium alloy design that can be installed, repaired or removed in the field. The US Army plans to acquire another twelve kits for delivery during 2007.
