The estimated level of effort for the base contract period is 339,360 man-hours. Work will be performed at the Naval Air Systems Command The Naval Air Systems Command, or NAVAIR, is the part of the United States Navy which provides materiel support for naval aircraft and airborne weapon systems, such as guided missiles. NAVAIR was established in 1966 as the successor to the Navy's Bureau of Naval Weapons (BuWeps). , Naval Air Warfare Center The Naval Air Warfare Center was a former U.S. Navy military installation located in Warminster, Pennsylvania and Ivyland, Pennsylvania. The U.S. Navy purchased the grounds to establish this facility from the Brewster Aeronautical Corporation following its bankruptcy in the Aircraft Division, St. Inigoes, Md. (96 percent), Mayport, Fla. (two percent), and Chesapeake, Va., (two percent) and is to be completed by May 2003. Contract funds in the amount of $6,266,814 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured through a request for proposals with 15 proposals solicited with one offer received.
