Applied Technologies, Inc., Rockville, Md., is being awarded a $16,474,562 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee term contract (N00421-97-C-1434) to exercise an option to provide technical and engineering services is support of Identification Systems (IDS) Programs. The estimated level of effort for this option is 398,894 man-hours. Work will be performed in California, Md. (70%); St. Inigoes, Md. (25%); and other Government facilities to include Charleston, S.C.; Pascagoula, Miss.; Norfolk, Va.; San Diego San Diego (săn dēā`gō), city (1990 pop. 1,110,549), seat of San Diego co., S Calif., on San Diego Bay; inc. 1850. San Diego includes the unincorporated communities of La Jolla and Spring Valley. Coronado is across the bay. , Calif.; and Cherry Hill Cherry Hill, township (1990 pop. 69,319), Camden co., W central N.J.; name was changed from Delaware township to Cherry Hill in 1961. Largely residential, Cherry Hill has been marked by great development and housing growth, especially since the 1970s. , N.C. (5%), and is expected to be completed in September 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
