BAE SYSTEMS To Overhaul USNS Ranier.


SAN FRANCISCO -- BAE Systems has been awarded a $6.7 million firm-fixed price contract for the overhaul and drydocking of the USNS USNS United States Naval Ship (civilian-manned; in service)

 Rainier, the Military Sealift Fleet Support Command's fast combat support ship The fast combat support ship (AOE) is the United States Navy's largest combat logistics ship, designed as an oiler, ammunition and supply ship. All fast combat support ships currently in service are operated by Military Sealift Command (MSC). . The total value of the contract could reach $8.9 million, if all options are exercised.
