The SST is a next-generation flight-line and stores management system tester that replaces the currently fielded stores management test sets. The test sets will provide increased test capability and easier operation and maintenance, and are smaller than existing systems. The SST, which can be adapted to any weapon platform, provides both flight-line and test and diagnostics capabilities for the stores management system and the various rails, launchers, guns, and pylons that comprise the F-16 weapons system. "This contract marks the first large production lot and the start of the Air Force F-16 stores management system tester replacement program," said Bob Donahue, BAE Systems product line manager in Merrimack, N.H.
