In announcing the appointment, Mark Ronald, BAE SYSTEMS North America president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. In addition to DHS, the Homeland Security office will also work closely with other agencies charged with supporting security missions including the Department of Defense, federal, state and local governments, as well as the private sector.

Clark served in the Royal Air Force in a number of appointments including director of the EH101 program in the Ministry of Defence Procurement Executive. He retired as Air Vice-Marshal following a distinguished career. Clark joined the company in 1994 and has held a succession of key management positions, serving most recently as vice president of business development for the company's Information and Electronic Systems Integration Sector in Washington.
