BAE SYSTEMS Awarded Contract to Build C-130H Simulators for Republic of China Air Force.

 today announced the Republic of China Ministry of National Defense has awarded the company a contract valued at approximately $29 million to design and manufacture a C-130H full flight simulator Full Flight Simulator (FFS) is a term used by National (civil) Aviation Authorities (NAA) for a high technical level of flight simulator. Such authorities include the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the United States and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in Europe.  and a C-130H multi-media flight training device for the Republic of China Air Force (ROCAF ROCAF Republic of China Air Force ).

The C-130H simulator and multi-media flight training device will be delivered to Ping-Tung Air Base in Taiwan by the end of 2002. BAE SYSTEMS Flight Simulation and Training will also provide on-site training support services support services Psychology Non-health care-related ancillary services–eg, transportation, financial aid, support groups, homemaker services, respite services, and other services .

The C-130H full flight simulator will include crew stations for the pilot, co-pilot, flight engineer, and navigator. The simulator will feature a five-channel, 200x40 degree vertical field-of-view visual system. The C-130H flight training device will feature an integrated multi-media presentation along with computer-based training See CBT.
