BAD DATA SEND TDK SHARES PLUNGING NEW FISCAL YEAR CHANGE TO BLAME.

CALABASAS - Shares of TDK Mediactive Inc. plunged 24.69 percent Tuesday and company officials think they know what happened.

Officials at the OTC Bulletin Board posted some erroneous information about the entertainment software publisher.

And it is the second time this has happened.

TDK officials are understandably upset about the problem.

The OTC flagged the company's stock symbol June 29 with the letter ``E'' indicating TDK was not in compliance with Securities and Exchange Commission filing requirements.

That's not the case, said TDK chief financial officer Martin Paravato.

The company changed its fiscal year so it now ends in March instead of June, notified the SEC and has been making filings in a timely manner.

But the OTC did not reflect the change in its system.

Paravato is irked about this ineptness.

``It has had a negative impact on our stock,'' said Paravato. ``According to the OTC, their computerized system incorrectly made the determination without notifying our company.''

The company changed its fiscal year so reporting times would match those of majority shareholder TDK, which bought its 74 percent stake last November.

The OTC made the same mistake in March and the company's stock price fell then, too.

In a short trading day Tuesday, TDK Mediactive closed at 75 cents, down 20 cents.

The company's games are based on original and licensed content derived from major motion pictures, video franchises, popular literature and popular culture.

TDK Mediactive's client list includes Sony Entertainment Corp. of America, Microsoft Corp., Nintendo of America, DreamWorks SKG, Universal Studios, The Harvey Entertainment Co., New Line Cinema and Signature Networks.
