Sheldon High senior makes Eagle Scout

Christopher Keady, a member of Troop No. 175 in Eugene, was honored at an Eagle Court of Honor a court or tribunal to investigate and decide questions relating to points of honor; as a court of chivalry, or a military court to investigate acts or omissions which are unofficerlike or ungentlemanly in their nature.

Sheldon sophomore

is named Eagle Scout

David Robinson, a member of Troop No. 381 in Eugene, was honored at an Eagle Court of Honor April 8 at his home. Eagle Scout is the highest honor awarded by the Boy Scouts.

Robinson, a sophomore at Sheldon High School, is the son of Dianna and Jeff Robinson of Eugene. He became a Scout eight years ago, earned 43 merit badges and held many leadership positions, including senior patrol leader and patrol leader.

His service project, completed for the vision-impaired in Mexico and Central America, involved collecting and preparing for shipment hundreds of eyeglasses eyeglasses or spectacles, instrument or device for aiding and correcting defective sight. Eyeglasses usually consist of a pair of lenses mounted in a frame to hold them in position before the eyes.  donated by local residents. The project required 100 hours and 30 helpers.
