BABY TALK PREGNANCY PREVAILS AT EMMYS.


Those tuning into E! on Sunday for the Emmy fashion parade at the Shrine Auditorium The Shrine Auditorium is a landmark large-event venue in Los Angeles, California, USA. It is also the headquarters of the Al Malaikah Temple, a division of the Shriners.  might have noticed a conversation theme. Namely, babies.

Joan Rivers Joan Rivers (born June 8, 1933) is an American comedian, actress, talk show host, businesswoman, and celebrity. She is known for her brash manner and loud, raspy voice with a heavy metropolitan New York accent.  rattled off pregnancy jokes as she and very pregnant daughter Melissa opened the show. The over-excited Joan referred to her daughter as her ``chunky monkey'' and after Melissa showed off for all of E!'s camera angles, Joan quipped that E! also had a ``vagi-cam'' in case Melissa gave birth (she's due this month).

Melissa, also sporting a new dark hair color done just days before the show, had a little fun herself when ``Frasier's'' Jane Leeves Jane Leeves (born April 18, 1961) is a Screen Actors Guild Award winning English actress best known for her work as Daphne Moon on Frasier. Biography

The 52nd annual Primetime Emmys broke out of the ratings slump of recent years with a telecast seen at least in part by an estimated 46 million viewers.
