BABY DEATH: BOY, 17, DUE IN COURT.


A 17-YEAR-OLD boy was due to appear in court today charged with the murder of a six-week-old baby girl.

Lancashire Police revealed the Skelmersdale baby was taken to Ormskirk Hospital on January 9 this year.

She was later transferred to Liverpool's Alder Hey Children's Hospital Alder Hey Children's Hospital is a children's hospital in West Derby, Liverpool. It is run by the Royal Liverpool Children's NHS Trust as part of the UK National Health Service. , where she died on January 16.

The 17-year-old youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was due to appear before magistrates in the Lancashire town of Chorley this morning.
