RESEDA - A 2-month-old girl who was wounded in a gang-related shooting in which her 19-year-old father appeared to be the intended target remained in extremely critical condition Saturday Saturday: see week; Sabbath. , officials said.

The unidentified girl was sitting with her 17-month-old sister in the back seat of their 18-year-old mother's car about 7:15 p.m. Friday night, when a gunman opened fire on them as the girls' father got into the passenger seat.

Funes would not say whether the father was a gang member but said it appeared the gunman was after the baby's father.

We're a close-knit community. There a few bad apples in the bunch. We as citizens aren't going to stand for it. We're going to do anything we can to see that it doesn't happen.''

Funes said the baby's father had just gotten into his girlfriend's car when a dark brown Chevy Blazer pulled up beside them.

One of the four men in the truck got out, ran over to the passenger side of the family's car and started shooting.
