) announced today that the Babcock & Wilcox Power Generation Group has received a contract with Domtar, Inc., a forest products company, for a complete upgrade to Domtar's pulp mill A pulp mill is a manufacturing facility that converts wood chips or other plant fiber source into a thick fiber board which can be shipped to a paper mill for further processing.  in Lebel-sur-Quevillion, Quebec. The contract, which will be shared in a three-way project partnership with H.A. Simons of British Columbia, the consulting engineers, and Cegelec/BG CHECO CHECO Contemporary Historical Examination of Current Operations  of Quebec, the construction contractor, is valued at approximately U.S. $125 million.

The turnkey project calls for the supply, erection, and commissioning of equipment including a new recovery boiler, installation of the turbine island, and upgrades to the fiberline and causticizing area. The project will also allow Domtar to meet increasingly stringent environmental legislation. Work is scheduled to be complete in November, 1996.
