BAA Reports Busiest Ever Month.LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 13, 1999-- BAA Baa See BBB. plc (Pink Sheets:BAAPY), the UK-based airport company, today announced it hit record levels with 12 million passengers passing through its UK airports in the month of August, up 5.8% against last August, and the first time the 12 million mark has been passed in a single month. 100 million passengers in total have passed through the South East Airports over the year ending this August. August 1999 against August 1998 This month's growth reflects an overall 7.1% increase in the number of airline seats this August. Stansted was the top performing airport with an increase of 390,000 passengers -- more than the combined growth of Heathrow and Gatwick (262,000).
