BAA Pittsburgh to Host AIRMALL Job Fair; Jobs Abound at the Shops and Eateries at Pittsburgh International Airport.


What

        Have a knack for retail? Enjoy meeting people from all corners
        of the world? The AIRMALL(R) Job Fair will open the door to
        employment opportunities from a variety of merchants in the
        popular airport shopping complex. BAA Pittsburgh, the
        developer and manager of the facility, is hosting its first
        annual job fair at Pittsburgh International Airport on Thurs.,
        July 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The fair will take place
        outside the landside terminal, in the commercial curbs area,
        ticketing level. Parking is free. Receipts for the short-term
        lot will be validated by BAA.

        The AIRMALL(R), which offers full-time, part-time and seasonal
        employment at nearly 100 shops, restaurants and service
        outlets, has a workforce of nearly 1,200 employees. Among the
        advantages of working in airport retailing are higher than
        average earnings, with hourly wages starting at $7.50,
        flexible hours, free parking and employee discounts. Many
        companies offer 401(k) and profit sharing programs.

        The retailers and food operators participating in the job fair
        will screen candidates for openings in hourly and supervisory
        positions on the spot. The lineup includes Lands' End, Bose,
        The Paradies Shops, including Brooks Brothers, Paradies CNBC
        and PGA Tour Shops, The Hudson Group, Bijoux Terner, Watch
        Station, Sunglass Hut, T.G.I. Friday's, Ranch 1, Charley's
        Steakery, McDonald's, Villa Pizza and Au Bon Pain. Job
        applications will also be accepted by BAA Pittsburgh for all
        operators.
