BAA Continues Strong Start to the Year.

 plc, the UK-based airport company, today announced that its seven UK airports report the second month of strong growth in its new financial year, with a total of 10.6 million passengers in May, an increase of 8.2% compared to the same month last year.

In the West, Easter is celebrated on the Sunday following the full moon next after the vernal equinox (see calendar); thus, it  holiday contributed to the 9.2% growth experienced in the first two months of the current financial year, underlying growth has been strong. BAA is expecting traffic growth for the full financial year of more than 5%.
