AD SPENDING Finance, Business, & Advertising continues to lead the pack in spending during the month of June, with an increase of 61.1%. Spending also increased in the following areas: Telecommunications, up 58.2%; Services, Direct Response, Classified, up 16.7%; Manufacturing & Electrical Equipment, Mat's & Components, up 15.7%; and Drugs & Toiletries, up 14.0%. Noteworthy is the sharp increase in the Agricultural industry (Horticulture horticulture [Lat. hortus=garden], science and art of gardening and of cultivating fruits, vegetables, flowers, and ornamental plants.
