B.V.R. Technologies Signed a Strategic Alliance Agreement.

TEL AVIV, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 7, 1998--METRIC SYSTEM CORPORATION, Inc., of Florida, USA, ("METRIC") and B.V.R. TECHNOLOGIES Ltd of Givatayim, Israel (NASDAQ: BVRTF) announced today that they had singed a strategic alliance agreement for manufacturing and marketing of a fourth-generation Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (ACMI) training system to the global market.

METRIC Systems Corporation has provided sophisticated equipment for both military and industrial applications since 1957. Today, METRIC is a world leader in airborne test, evaluation, and training products including advanced Global Positioning System (GPS)-based test and training pods, real-time graphic displays and subsystems, weapon simulations, and fully instrumented test and training ranges. Over the past decade, METRIC has developed and manufactured more than 1000 second- and third-generation airborne instrumentation pods for military training and test applications, including the U.S. Air Force-standard P4B ACMI pod, and the high-accuracy test instrumentation pods produced for the U.S. tri-service Range Applications Joint Program Office (RAJPO). METRIC's Advanced Air Combat Training System (MAACTS) pod provides the highest level of precision tracking available in any airborne instrumentation system.

B.V.R. had developed and patented several technologies that allowed producing fourth-generation ACMI training systems. The fourth-generation ACMI is the only system that enables unlimited number of participants to communicate to each other efficiently (using Dynamic Allocated Time Slots, B.V.R. patent) without the dependence on ground-based communication network master. The DATS technologies enable proximate instrumented participants to provide warning of potential Mid Air Collision (MAC) in ample reaction time (B.V.R. patent). Implementing DATS in the fourth-generation ACMI training system makes it widely interoperable and allows for numerous participants from different air forces to train together worldwide. The fourth-generation ACMI training system enables real-time integration with ground-based simulators as well as virtual airborne participants (Computer Generated Forces).

In the past three years, B.V.R. has sold the EHUD, a fourth-generation ACMI training systems to eight leading air forces in the Far East, Europe, and South America, assisted strongly by strategic alliances with leading companies. In the same time frame, METRIC has delivered well over 100 airborne instrumentation pods and associated ground equipment to air force, navy, and army training and test ranges throughout the United State and Europe.
