B.R. Fries completes good deed.


B.R. Fries & Associates has completed the 5-story addition to the Long Island Ronald McDonald House, on the campus of Long Island Jewish Medical Center Long Island Jewish Medical Center (LIJMC) shares the title of clinical and academic hub of the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System. It is an 827-bed voluntary, non-profit tertiary care teaching hospital serving the greater metropolitan New York area.  in New Hyde Park New Hyde Park, village (1990 pop. 9,728), Nassau co., SE N.Y., on Long Island; inc. 1927. It is a residential community with some manufacturing and truck farms. Nearby is the uninc. town of North New Hyde Park (1990 pop. 14,359). , Queens.

The addition, which is constructed of a steel frame and concrete is attached to the existing 2-story building.

It more than doubles the number of family suites from 18 to 42 providing a home-away-from-home for families of seriously ill A patient is seriously ill when his or her illness is of such severity that there is cause for immediate concern but there is no imminent danger to life.
