B. Riley & Co. Adds Professionals: Senior Research Analyst George Santana, CFA, Joins Los Angeles Office; Michael Frank Joins Equity Sales in New York Office.LOS ANGELES & NEW YORK -- B. Riley & Co., Inc. announced today the addition of two professionals to the firm: George Santana, CFA (Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986) Signed into law in 1986, the CFA was a significant step forward in criminalizing unauthorized access to computer systems and networks. The Act applies to "federal interest computers" that include any system used by the U.S. , has joined the firm as a Senior Analyst covering small cap companies in the alternative energy sectors. He will be based in the firm's Los Angeles office. Mr. Santana is a six-time Institutional Investor-ranked equity analyst who has covered companies in the enterprise software, construction, media and broadcasting, tourism, steel and airline industries both domestically and internationally. Most recently, he was a business consultant and manager of private investments. Previously, he was a Vice President, Senior Equity Analyst, at Wedbush Morgan; a First Vice President, Senior Equity Analyst, at Merrill Lynch; and a Senior Equity Analyst at D.A. Campbell Company. He graduated from Stanford University with an A.B. in Quantitative Economics. Michael Frank joins the firm's Equity Sales department in New York.
