B. Braun and Curlin Medical, LLC Announce Distribution Agreement for Ambulatory and Pain Management Infusion Pump.

B. Braun Medical Inc. announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Curlin Medical, LLC to distribute the Curlin 2000 Plus(TM) Ambulatory Electronic Infusion Pump in the United States.

The Curlin 2000 Plus is a five mode (PCA, Continuous, TPN, Intermittent and Variable) therapy pump, operates on cost-effective straight line disposables and offers advanced safety features.

These features include the highest resolution of any small size pump, active set-based free-flow protection on all administration sets, upstream and downstream occlusion detection, up stream pressure detection, and simplified programming steps intended to reduce medication errors.

The pump is intended for use in the alternate site infusion therapy and hospital pain management (PCA) markets. B. Braun's Continuing Care, Hospital Infusion System, and Critical Care Specialist sales forces will market the Curlin 2000 Plus pump.

According to Yale Graves, Director of Infusion Systems Marketing for B. Braun, "The Curlin Medical 2000 Plus ambulatory infusion pump will allow B. Braun to broaden its infusion products offering across the entire continuum of care, from the hospital to alternate site."

The pump will complement B. Braun's existing line of infusion pump products including the Horizon(R) and Vista(TM) Large Volume Pumps, Perfusor(R) syringe pumps and Elastomeric pumps.
