) on March 10, 2006, DUPLEX is now the only ready-to-use IV drug delivery system available for CeFOXItin therapy in the United States.

"DUPLEX fills an immediate need for hospitals across the country with a simple, ready-to-use formula for this critical antibiotic therapy, enabling caretakers to provide the highest standard of care for their patients," said Rick Williamson, Director of Marketing, Drug Delivery, B. "DUPLEX reduces the potential for medication dosing errors with a unique barcode technology that references final admixture, can be used to automate patient charting, and is designed to fit into medication dispensing systems to track inventory and facilitate reimbursement."

DUPLEX is designed to help pharmacists and clinicians comply with Joint Commission on Accreditation and Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO JCAHO Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, see there ) and USP USP - unique sales point  797 Guidelines, which specify that medicines should be dispensed in their "most ready-to-use form." The DUPLEX Drug Delivery System is a closed system to ensure sterility and dose accuracy.
