B&B ARMR Achieves Strategic Milestone with the Shipment of Superior Warning Gates to the Macombs Dam Bridge Rehabilitation Project.

Integrated Security Systems, Inc. (ISSI), (OTCBB:IZZI) announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, B&B ARMR Corporation, has shipped VT-77 warning and VT-6801 barrier gates to the rehabilitation project of Macombs Dam Bridge, the closest bridge on the thoroughfare between Manhattan and Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, N.Y.

The B&B ARMR products shipped to Macombs Dam represent the most sophisticated warning and barrier gates available in the industry. The bridge renovation project required the gates be able to operate in such adverse conditions as 70 mph wind coupled with a half-inch ice load on all exposed surfaces.

Bob Kick, project engineer for general contractor Schiavone/American Bridge, characterized the project as "extremely challenging," but commended B&B ARMR for their good cooperation and flexibility in achieving strategic project milestones.

B&B ARMR's VT-77 Automatic Safety Gate is equipped with a vertical to horizontal arm and is typically used as a warning, traffic control and access control barrier. The VT-6801Positive Resistance Barrier Gate is a standard vertical to horizontal arm type safety barrier for use on moveable bridges, railroad crossings and any other traffic barrier installation where safety is an important consideration.

In 1999, the New York City Department of Transportation (NYCDOT) began a project to rehabilitate the Macombs Dam Bridge to be completed in three stages. The project encompasses the following work: rehabilitating and repainting the superstructure, refurbishing the swing mechanism and electrical systems on the swing span, and reconstructing the truss work and viaducts over the area's numerous railroads and freeways. The project is slated for completion in September 2004.
