The company also announced the addition of two new offerings to its line of cabin interior lighting products. "This FAA approval makes it simpler for customers to select our 5800 LED Wash Lighting product," said Mr. Gerard Stoehr, Vice President of B/E Aerospace. "Business jet owners and operators can now install our wash light on the Gulfstream-IV with no additional paperwork requirements for certification. Installation on other aircraft types will also be easier." Employing LED (light-emitting diode) technology, B/E's wash light adapts to a wide range of cabin configurations and is optimized to maximize uniformity. B/E's LED wash lighting technology offers distinct advantages over traditional lighting technology: -- The same high quality, natural white light consistent with traditional B/E systems -- Greater reliability lasting 8 to 10 times longer than traditional fluorescent lighting systems -- Lower maintenance costs -- No electromagnetic interference with other systems in the cabin This is the second product in B/E's integrated LED cabin lighting system to receive PMA approval. B/E's 5500 Passenger Adjustable LED Reading Light is also approved for installation on a wide range of general aviation aircraft including the Gulfstream G-IV and Canadair CL-600 and CL-601 business jets, as well as replacement of existing reading lights on the Learjet 31, 35, 36 and 60 aircraft, Raytheon 1900, B100, B200 and B300 and Beechjet 400 and 400A. B/E is now marketing two new LED-based lighting products to business jet and airline customers. One of the new products, the Full Spectrum Digital Mood Lighting System, uses solid-state light units to produce both natural white light and a multitude of colors not of the white race; - commonly meaning, esp. in the United States, of negro blood, pure or mixed. The other new product, the 5620 LED Dome Light, provides general overhead illumination illumination, in art illumination, in art, decoration of manuscripts and books with colored, gilded pictures, often referred to as miniatures (see miniature painting); historiated and decorated initials; and ornamental border designs. for aisle, lavatory, galley galley, long, narrow vessel widely used in ancient and medieval times, propelled principally by oars but also fitted with sails. "We offer customer-specified plating finishes for the 5620 LED Dome Light, as we do with all our lighting products," said Mr. Stoehr. The new dome light, a direct replacement for existing popular competitive dome lights, has a cool-to-the-touch design that minimizes cabin heat and offers many of the advantages of B/E's LED- technology lighting systems.
