B&G Foods Announces New Ratings from Moody's.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. -- B&G Foods, Inc. (AMEX: BGF), a manufacturer and distributor of high quality, shelf-stable foods, announced today that on September 21, 2006 Moody's Investors Service upgraded to B1 from B2 the Company's $240 million 8% senior unsecured notes, maturing 2011. In addition, Moody's affirmed the Company's corporate family rating at B2, and affirmed at Caa1 the Company's $166 million 12% senior subordinated notes, maturing 2016.

In addition, B&G Foods was assigned the following ratings by Moody's:

* $25 million senior secured revolving credit facility, maturing 2011 Co assigned Ba2

* $25 million senior secured term loan, maturing 2011 Co assigned Ba2

* Probability of default rating Co assigned B2

Moody's applied its new Probability of Default and Loss Given Default rating methodology to all of the Company's long term ratings, and said the outlook on all long term ratings is stable. Moody's noted that the assignment of Ba2 ratings to B&G Foods' bank facilities, as well as the rating actions taken in relation to its other debt securities, reflects Moody's new methodology for assigning ratings to individual securities and bank facilities rather than a change in the characteristics of any debt security or bank facility or in the Company's fundamental credit profile.
