Texas-based company to be exclusive distributor of

BranchConnect Teller Station(TM)

National Source One (NSO), a marketing, sales and installation support consortium of Systems Integrators (SIs), announced a strategic alliance with Irving, Texas-based B&B Technical Services Co., Inc. (B&B).

B&B is a provider of banking equipment and support services specializing in teller products and paper handling equipment, and it will be the sole systems integrator of the Teller Station product for the state of Texas.

B&B previously provided its customers the Sharp teller system product; however, B&B found that though the Sharp systems were well made, they did not offer an online capability. John Baker Sr., President of B&B, said, "For years, our sole product line consisted of offline teller machines, but today, our customers want [and need] PC based teller systems. This alliance with NSO gives us a reliable system with a proven track record to market to our existing customers."

Other [teller system] providers approached B&B about distributing similar products, but Baker said, "We didn't want to be the `guinea pig' for a system that was not proven in the financial industry and did not have market share. NSO teller systems are installed across the United States, the company has solid references, and its products have more flexibility and capabilities than the other systems we reviewed. It was a good fit for our needs."

NSO is a national consortium of SIs that are all trained to sell and support the BranchConnect Teller products. Rick Kramer, Operational manager of National Source One, said, "B&B's strong existing customer base and professional sales staff led us to the decision that B&B would be a superb addition to the National Source One group of Systems Integrators.

B&B and NSO's alliance gives Texas banks access to software that allows tellers to perform many customer services and accounting functions from the Teller Station, as well as the ability to print official checks and calculate bond redemptions. Teller Station was first released in January 2000 by BranchConnect Financial Systems, Inc.

Baker continued, "By joining NSO, we can now offer our customers a greater sense of security knowing that we have a larger pool of resources to draw on. This provides us with another marketing and sales tool as well. With the support of NSO we can generate interest in larger clients that may not have felt as comfortable with a more centralized organization.
