BOULDER, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 16, 2001

Aztek Engineering, Inc., an international provider of software and hardware for the telecommunications industry, today announced the availability of Access303(TM) -- its latest Telcordia (Bellcore) GR-303 compatible interface software.

Access303(TM) provides the remote digital terminal In telecommunications, a Remote Digital Terminal (RDT) typically accepts E1, T1 or OC-3 digital lines to communicate with a telephone Access network (AN) or telephone exchange (LDS) on one side, and forms a Local Exchange (LE) on the other, which is connected to Plain Old Telephone  (RDT RDT 1. Renal dialysis treatment 2. Retinal damage threshold )(1) functions for a complete EOC/TMC and LAPD 1. LAPD - Link Access Procedure on the D channel.
2. LAPD - Los Angeles Police Department.
(2). With Access303(TM), access network(3) designers can now rely on a single source for a complete GR-303 protocol solution.

Access303(TM) complements Aztek's current AV5(R) products for the European Telecommunications Standards Institute's (ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute, Sophia Antipolis technical park, Nice, France, www.etsi.org) A non-profit membership organization founded in 1988, dedicated to standardizing information and communication technologies (ICT) throughout Europe. )(4) V5 First and Second Edition Standards(5).

"The GR-303 standard is seeing widespread use in new packet-based access networks," says John Farnbach, vice president of marketing for Aztek Engineering. "This release represents Aztek's commitment to meet our customers' needs for truly portable software intended for a wide variety of RDT System Architectures."

Access303(TM) has an intuitive application programming interface (API) that simplifies the software integration effort. It is scalable for different sized installations and is both processor and memory efficient. The Access303(TM) software platform is also easily portable to a variety of real-time operating systems and microprocessors and is delivered as ANSI C (language, standard) ANSI C - (American National Standards Institute C) A revision of C, adding function prototypes, structure passing, structure assignment and standardised library functions. Other new features offered in Access303(TM) include Integrated Protocol Trace tools to speed testing, a Distributed LAPD option to help balance system load, and a Processor Redundancy analysis option to maintain high availability Also called "RAS" (reliability, availability, serviceability) or "fault resilient," it refers to a multiprocessing system that can quickly recover from a failure. There may be a minute or two of downtime while one system switches over to another, but processing will continue. . To help speed development, Access303(TM) is shipped with the FastTrack EOC EOC Emergency Operations Center
