Aztecs looking to resurrect Johnson transfer.

 midfielder Eddie Johnson to the American club Austin Aztecs could be resurrected after appearing to be doomed last week.

Adrian "Inchy" Heath (born January 11 1961 in Newcastle-under-Lyme) is a British football manager and former player. As a player he is remembered as part of the Everton side of the 1980s.

City's chief executive, Bob Gray, confirmed the latest development last night and said: "Adrian Heath and Eddie Johnson have had further talks and the move looks like it is on again."

Asked if a transfer fee would be coming Chester's way, Gray added: "A fee hasn't been mentioned, but this will form part of our negotiations."

Meanwhile, a number of clubs were present at the Deva Stadium on Tuesday night, running the rule over the youthful City side, who faced Crewe Alexandra in the Cheshire Premier Cup.

Amongst the clubs represented were Welsh Premier League outfits Airbus (UK) and Bangor City.

Reserve striker Paul McManus has been linked with a move to Airbus.

Tony Dinning may return to the squad tomorrow, following his trial spell with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

City's selection options have been decimated by suspensions and injuries and the 33-year-old is likely to be included in the squad who face Lincoln City at Sincil Bank.
