Aztec completes design for SI building. (Design and Development).

The Aztec Corporation announces the completion of a base building design for ADGO, an electrical contracting company, at 201 Edward Curry Avenue in Staten Island,' New York. ADCO is the owner of this 90,000-SF Class A office building and occupies the entire third floor of the facility.

The site fronts on Highway 440 with state-of-the-art electrical, mechanical and security elements to meet current market business requirements. The balance of the building will be available for lease to other users. Aztec has designed the building's common interior space and ADCO's new headquarter offices as well.

Aztec provided space planning services as well as construction and design documentation for the exterior facade and building common areas for ADCO in collaboration with Land Planning of New York. The building facade features sculpted dryvit facade with a full glass rounded front atrium and metal domed roof. The building common areas feature granite flooring and wainscot with anigre wood paneling, domed ceilings and trim details that complete this pleasing corporate environment. In addition, Aztec collaborated with the Land Planning of New York, general contractor, W.F.C., on the exterior landscaping, which will include a grand stainless steel sculpture designed by Jaime Gonzalez-Goldstein of Aztec and a memorial garden to pay tribute to a previous ADCO employee.

The Aztec team of Tracey Kasper, principal, and Jaime Gonzalez-Goldstein was responsible for leading this assignment on behalf of ADCO. "We are pleased to have completed this exciting new development for ADCQ," stated Tracey Kasper.
